I finally made it over to The Hepworth to see the Franz West show and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve been intrigued by his work for a long time and it was impressive to see such a spread of work, including some of the early Adaptives (together with cubicles for private engagement!). These incorporated ad-hoc furniture, found materials and working equipment (all elements that I appropriate for my own work). As a bonus the new Calder space had the first UK manifestation of Allan Kaprow’s Yard from 1961.
